CACWT - Support Staff: Import CSV File

Import CSV File


Description:


The following steps provide details for importing a CSV file into CACWT. Uploading CSV files allows users to save time by completing bulk actions, such as enrolling multiple learners at once, importing section enrollments, creating courses, importing external course history, etc.. Note that CSV templates referenced in these instructions are only available to users with the “Affiliation” manager role in CACWT.


Instructions:


  1. If you have not done so already, locate the CSV template file for this action by selecting “Import CSV” under “Administration” on the left side panel:

  1. The page will allow you to search for a variety of sample CSV templates by “Type” from the dropdown menu. Select the “Get Sample CSV” button to download the appropriate sample CSV file.

  1. Next, input your data into the CSV file. Refer to the header columns in the sample file to inform what needs to be populated in the appropriate fields.


  1. Finally, upload the CSV file. You can do this via the “Import CSV” page under “Administration” (see Figure 4.1.3c.).

  1. Alternatively, you can select “Import CSV” from the appropriate heading on the left panel based on the type of file you are uploading. For example, if you are uploading a CSV file with learners, you can select “Learners” → “Import CSV” from the left side panel.

  1. On the next page, you will be able to upload the CSV file from your device by selecting “Browse” to locate the file and the “Upload” button to upload it.
